What is Hypnotherapy?

Hypnotherapy is a means of talking to your subconscious mind where we store our learned behaviours and beliefs. Feeding the sub-conscious mind with positive, specifically worded suggestions is a way to break habits or change unwanted behaviour. During Hypnotherapy we can also deal with the cause of negative thoughts/behaviours. By finding the source of what is damaging us, we are able to make the necessary adjustments to free ourselves.

What will I experience?

A hypnotic trance is a state somewhere between being fully awake and fast asleep. We experience the trance state many times a day without realising it. Have you ever been so engrossed in watching a film that you’re not thinking about anything else? That is a trance state; where the mind can focus on something to the exclusion of everything else. In the case of hypnosis, you will focus on relaxing.

Is it safe?

Yes, it is safe. Hypnosis is a relaxing and empowering experience. You are conscious at all times, and we will discuss what will be happening before each session and then again at the end.

How long will it take?

It is a client based therapy so the number of sessions will vary according to the client’s goal. The number of sessions needed will be established at the first session.

Does it work?

Yes, Hypnosis does work. The key to success is the client’s commitment to the therapy.
